Our mission is to end domestic violence and sexual assault in Southern Illinois and to assist survivors of these crimes and their non-offending significant others.
How do we accomplish this? Our staff, interns, and volunteers use a feminist counseling approach. We believe in providing as much information about options and choices as possible to all of our clients. We support them in making their own decisions about their own lives.
We are pro-choice in all aspects of our clients' social, educational, financial, family, and legal rights. We perform our services without judgment and bias. Our advocacy is on behalf of the survivor of violence as guided by and centered on the survivor themselves.
We have served Southern Illinois for over 40 years by providing the following confidential, free of charge services to adults, adolescents and children:
• 24-hour crisis hotline intervention 1-800-334-2094 available 7 days a week, 365 days a year, emergency shelter, food, supplies, referrals and transportation
• individual and group support, counseling information, referrals, education
• case management, legal, medical, and personal advocacy
