Executive Assistant, The Women’s Center, Inc. 

Position is crucial to workings of the Center. Completes general receptionist duties, including greeting clients and visitors and answering and routing phone calls. Takes care of all mail functions for the Center and ordering and inventorying supplies. Maintains fundraising database. Processes all job applicants’ resumes for management. Updates networking agreements with other agencies. Provides clerical support to Executive Director and other staff as needed. Experience with Word and Excel necessary, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with the Women’s Center and/or domestic violence and sexual assault issues a plus. Position is 40 hours a week with benefits.

RCS Advocate/Counselor - The Women’s Center, Inc.-Rape Crisis Services

Responsible for providing crisis intervention, medical and legal advocacy, institutional advocacy and individual and group counseling for sexual assault survivors and non-offending significant others at the Eurma Hayes office in Carbondale and responds to all counties in service area when on-call. Provides volunteer and professional training, as well as community outreach. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in social services preferred. Knowledge and previous training regarding sexual assault and gender violence issues preferred. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to complete required training. Position is full-time with benefits and includes regular on call shifts.

Prevention Educators - The Women’s Center, Inc.-Rape Crisis Services Program

Responsible for providing sexual assault prevention education throughout the Center’s seven county area. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in social services preferred. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to complete required sexual assault training. Two part time positions are open.

DV Crisis Worker- The Women’s Center, Inc.-DV/Shelter Program

Responsible for handling calls to The Women’s Center Shelter program 24 hour hotline. Duties include determining eligibility, admitting walk-in clients, and conducting crisis intervention, in-person or by phone and facilitates the smooth operation of The Women’s Center Shelter during work hours. Must be willing to work holiday, weekend, evening, and occasional overnight shifts. Needs to have completed 40-hour domestic violence training prior to employment. Previous volunteer work or experience in social service preferred. Position is on-call.
