 Rape Crisis Services Advocate/Counselor - The Women’s Center, Inc.

Responsible for providing crisis intervention, medical and legal advocacy, institutional advocacy and individual and group counseling for sexual assault survivors and non-offending significant others at the Eurma Hayes office in Carbondale and responds to all counties in service area when on-call. Provides volunteer and professional training, as well as community outreach.  Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in social services preferred.  Knowledge and previous training regarding sexual assault and gender violence issues preferred. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to complete required training. Position is full-time with benefits and includes regular on call shifts.

 Rape Crisis Services Child and Adolescent Counselor - The Women’s Center, Inc.

Responsible for providing counseling for child and adolescent survivors of sexual assault and their non-offending significant others throughout eight-county area. On-call rotation and significant travel required, including some evening and weekend hours. Must coordinate services with area schools. Master’s degree in related field or equivalent. Experience with adolescents in social service and knowledge of sexual assault/domestic violence issues with previous training on those issues preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Position is full-time with benefits.

Provides volunteer and professional training.  Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in social services preferred. Knowledge and previous training regarding sexual assault and gender violence issues preferred. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to complete required training. Position is full-time with benefits and includes regular on call shifts.
